Inútil paisagem ... is the title of a composition by Tom Jobim and Aloysio de Oliveira wich inspired me this instalation with granite, calcite, sodalite, amazonite, white silex, rose quartz, ambar, silver.
The title inspired me, not the music or lyrics.
That phrase was flooding my mind for a long time:
What could be a landscape useless?
How could be a landscape useless?
So I wondered how it would mount a landscape made with all the beautiful pieces.
Each of these individually polished stones reflect the perfect beauty of nature.
The sheen of silver is unquestionably beauty .....
And all of this, still not be enough... I believe that look at this image bring us a certain anguish.
Maybe ... because the word - landscape - here, is completely out of context?
Or ... because it's need much more than the cold and hard beauty?
